Upper Canada College was founded in 1829 and is one of North America’s foremost boys’ schools, offering Senior Kindergarten through university entrance and boarding for 88 students from outside of Toronto. Graduates of UCC — an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School with one of the broadest programs in the country — are highly regarded by top universities and post-secondary institutions worldwide. Our global network of alumni includes leaders and innovators in politics, finance, arts, athletics, media and beyond.
The urban boarding experience offered at Upper Canada College is incomparable. Our unique delivery of the IB Diploma Programme gives our grads an edge both in terms of acceptance and success at top universities, and prepares them to meet the needs of global industries worldwide once they enter the workforce. UCC boarding graduates have strong ties to their alma mater and we often hear them say the same thing: “UCC put us ahead of the game.”
What’s more, there’s no better place in the world to live and study than Toronto. Don’t take our word for it: in 2017 Toronto was ranked #4 by The Economist as the best city to live in, taking factors such as safety, cost of living, business environment, culture and government stability into consideration. Toronto’s reputation as a North American business hub and respect for civil liberties makes it an ideal environment for learning.
